Welcome to UrbanRevs online training! We live in an ever complex and challenging world. Many followers of Jesus and faith leaders are passionately seeking out the ‘how to’ when it comes to seeing Jesus’ kingdom come. At UrbanRevs we are passionate about helping the local church grow every follower of Jesus to be authentic and effective when it comes to living out the kingdom. Many people incorrectly disqualify themselves when it comes to serving Jesus in the world they live in. Either, they think themselves not qualified, not suitable, or not authorised. They might say, “That’s not my role…” or “I don’t know how to…” or “I’ll wait for my church to lead the way…” Meanwhile, God’s kingdom and will coming to our community is subsequently disadvantaged. Who the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are and your relationship God.
This course is an introduction to the UrbanRevs Community Chaplaincy training. It is for those who want to become a Community Chaplain. It provides the biblical foundation for the Urban Revs Community Chaplaincy model. It is the introduction to the Level 2 Urban Chaplaincy Certificate.

Founder of UrbanRevs | Former AFL Chaplain & CEO Sports Chaplaincy Australia Cameron Butler is a former local church pastor who served at the Melbourne Football Club AFL for 15 years during some of the clubs most difficult moments including the Bali Bombings, Asian Tsunami and multiple leadership upheavals. He also re-visioned and re-formed Sports Chaplaincy Australia – helping lead and serve its remarkable growth and influence in the sports community from 2005-2018.
I am a woman who meet Jesus 16 years ago. For His Grace I worked in a Church for the past 15 years before to came to Sydney 6 month ago. I am so thankful doing this course, because in the way is being explain it’s so truthful. To give Jesus to others is what the world needs but it’s no something we can do it if we do not pass time with HIM… thank you for teaching us. God Bless You
Iam a Aged care Nurse. I studied at Ridley College and received a Graduate diploma in Bible and Ministry in 2003. From the beginning my heart was drawn to these elderly people whomi encounter day by day and I have witnessed their struggles in loosing their homes and in some cases sadness of separating from loved ones. When it’s come to Palliative care I have the privilege to hold their hands at their dying moment. I was able to walk with them in their dark valleys, fearful and anxious moments and point towards their Hope Of Glory. My desire and passion is to fan in to flame their faith and encourage them to have a personal encounter with their God. Every place I have worked I was able to have church services and Bible studies and I was amazed to see how hungry they are . Thank you for Community Chaplaincy Introduction course and i have taken valuable information to shape my life as a pastoral care worker. As I listen to your teaching I took time to reflect upon myself and knew what improvements I need in certain areas in order to best reflect the Love of God. When a diamond is transparent and free from flaws, it is highly valued and precious. God’s calling is such and my response is use me, I’am available.
Strong learning experience due to long- experienced and devoted Instructor Rev. Cam Butler. I have learned incredible amount about this Community Chaplaincy issue, and it’s hands-on forthright and honest Christ centered method. True it will take some time and faithfully- continued devoted effort, however Christ-sharing results are worth it to do work for The Lord and share his caring for people to those people in thier time of need. As He instructed us to do. No hesitation giving 5 Star rating. I know this approach can have positive results due to my own past ‘on the job’ approach and methods, quite successful, being Inspired to be very much the same. Bravo
The Community Chaplaincy course will help me in my role as pastoral care volunteer at a local nursing home. It has also convicted me that I need the same compassion as our Lord Jesus, and to recognize the opportunities available to shepherd people in my community. Thank you team!!
